This weeks Soul Sunday song “Special” is off the third album ‘The Healing’ by Strange Fruit Project featuring Thesis also produced by 9th Wonder released in July 2006. The group’s name was formed from Billie Holilday’s civil rights song ‘Strange Fruit’ and consists of producer/emcee Symbolyc One aka S1, his cousin emcee Myth (short for Mythological) and emcee Myone (pronouned “My Own”) out of Wako, Texas.

Don’t let the title fool you, 9th Wonder’s “The SuperDeaf Wedding Throwdown Jizzam of The Year!!!” Mixtape is most certainly not limited to just weddings, after a weekend like we just had filled with family and friends, it is definitely one that makes everyone smile, sing & dance! A little late on posting this, but nonetheless, something we needed to post. L-R-G & director Kenneth Price followed and recorded Patrick Douthit (better known as 9th Wonder) for a year to shoot this documentary. 9th Wonder is one of the best producers & samplers, as well as a DJ, rapper and Music Professor. This documentary features words from DJ Premiere, Phonte, Drake, J. Cole, Method Man, Alchemist, and many more. Although this was supposed to drop early 2011, there has still not been an official release date…stay tuned!
