Official Music video by Dwele featuring the Return of Phife Diggy aka Phife Dawg.
soul sundays – angel (suite for ma dukes)
This Soul Sundays pick is nothing less than amazing…Dwele’s “Angel” is already such a great song, but you add Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and the orchestra to it…leaves me speechless. With no rehearsal, seeing Dwele’s reaction makes me appreciate the collaboration that much more. A Suite for Ma Dukes is a live musical tribute to J Dilla arranged and conducted by Miguel Atwood-Ferguson with the help of Carlos Nino and a 60-piece orchestra.
Atwood-Ferguson said, “Dilla’s music is so heartfelt, soulful and transcendent. It is perfect for someone like me to reinterpret and celebrate in my own way. It’s really been fun for me to explore his music in an orchestral setting.”
We hope you enjoy and have a great Soul Sunday!

soul sundays – i think i love you
Happy Soul Sunday! This weeks song is by one of our very favorites (as you may or may not have seen from our very first “Soul Sundays” post)….Dwele’s “I Think I Love You”. It just feels so good to hear songs like this, directed toward genuine love between two people regardless of longevity or history, you can’t deny the love you have for one another. We hope you enjoy this weeks Soul Sunday song!
soul sundays – flashing lights
Released in late 2007, “Flashing Lights” was widely regarded as the best song on Kanye’s ‘Graduation’ album. This song features Dwele on its chorus with additional vocals by Connie Mitchell (of the Australian electronic group Sneaky Sound System) and I must say this is such a great collabo! This is definitely one of those eyes closed, head nodding songs set on repeat…And the video is just as intriguing and as crazy as the song! Enjoy.
Happy Soul Sunday!
soul sundays – a few reasons (truth pt. 2)
This Soul Sunday, we bring you Dwele’s A Few Reasons (Truth Pt.2). Dwele is the type of artist that can sing about anything from new love, old love, one night love, ending love & never ending love making every lyric and song sound so amazing! Whether he is singing the hook on another artists track, his own albums or a McDonalds McCafe commercial, he will not disappoint. Fellas, A Few Reasons (Truth Pt.2) is such a beautiful song that you most definitely need to share with your special lady and tell her a few reasons why you appreciate that she’s yours!
Enjoy!
