soul sundays – gone baby, don’t be long

In 2010, Erykah Badu sampled “Arrow Through Me” by Wings on a track called “Gone Baby, Don’t Be Long” on her new album ‘New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh’. When I first heard this song, not only was it an instant favorite but it also reminded me of “Other Side of the Game” off her 1997 album ‘Baduism’. Understanding that her man has to get his hustle on and that she is going to be there loving him when he returns. We hope you enjoy this song along with this whole album…it was produced by J Dilla, ?uestlove, James Poyser, Madlib, 9th Wonder, Sa-Ra, Georgia Anne Muldrow, and Karriem Riggins.
Happy Soul Sunday!
