4 years ago my brothers the LA Leakers (sourMilk and Justin Credible) put out one of my favorite mixes of all time… Obamix. Today, they hit us with Obamix: The Re-Election. This week’s Bubble Gum welcomed special guest DJ E-Man (Unrivaled DJ’s, Power 106, Big Boy’s Neighborhood). We also welcomed back DJ sourMilk from a little break touring with Dev. As always, good music and good vibes filled the Blu Monkey as they do every first Tuesday of the month. Shouts out to Playmaker and B-Eazy for starting the night of right and of course E-Man for murdering the tables and then sourMilk for shutting down the night like only he can! This past Tuesday Bubble Gum made it’s return to The Blu Monkey Lounge. If you don’t know what Bubble Gum is let me tell you. It’s a really chill night to come out and listen to some music that you probably won’t get to listen to at the club. We play nothing but classics… hip hop, R&B, soul, funk, jazz and much more. Past guest DJ’s include Talib Kweli, B-Real, DJ Quik, Sean G, DJ Prophet, DJ Dense, DJ E-Man, DJ Shiva, Vick One and more. The team that put’s this night together for you consists of The Los Angeles Leakers (Justin Credible & sourMilk), So Much Soul Clothing (Boogie-B & Crystal), Fuzz Fan Tab, Roddy Rod and Brian Samson. After having the chance to catch Kanye’s performance live at Coachella we felt it necessary to post a Kanye mix. Here’s one of my favorite’s done by 2 of the most talented dudes that I know, the LA Leakers. They did this mix back in ’08 and the only thing I hate about this mix is that it’s only 25 minutes long.
